According to the met office app it’s raining here and 0C! These apps can be entertaining.

Hurts to see an amber warning just south of here! I shouldn’t really moan we have a covering of snow and people are all out sledging!

If you are in the South of the region you don’t really have to look far for some decent snow Stone, Shrewsbury Shropshire 5-6cm, Stafford down towards Birmingham 8/9cm, Derby 7cm - so frustrating really and very NW England luck that our heaviest fall of the winter 7-8cm here was post Storm Christoph that melted within hours Still positive about Feb though

Yep frustratingly close all day!

I think it’s quite hard to predict a system like this that is pivoting and changing, anywhere south of the region could easily get a heavier spell of snow

Lightest of light snow.

The question is do you need to be ‘warned’. Very rarely do you need to be warned unless the weather is extreme.
Yesterday needed a warning here. It would have at least possibly prevented a number of accidents in this area in the snowy roads. I am surprised their matrix didn’t show it. Whereas today thei matrix has shown it with no snow falling yet buttbeitu admittedly colder temps.

Hilarious that I’m just in the new warning for snow and ice after no warning yesterday.

That would be torture, I'd rather it miss us by 100 miles
I do remember in maybe 1985/6 having a foot of snow at school and just a few flakes in the wind at home 6 miles away with a channel low moving up.

Looks to me like it could reach up to about Knutsford the way it is moving and then sink.

Absolute DISGRACE from the Met Office tonight. I’m a driver, I’m out till 11pm and it’s the worst I’ve seen it in about 5 years. Every road is iced over, every path is lethal. It’s shocking. How can they not issue an ice warning here?! -1C already...
can’t see the front reaching here tomorrow. Even if it does, all be gone by Monday
Yep lethal out, snow cover on roads, freezing flood waters, very icy. Very surprised.
Assumed it was an error earlier

Graupel again. Seemed to pop up out of nowhere! I’ve been watching the radar and didn’t see this

I quite like graupel! It has lowered the temperature and refrozen all the drips

Heavy graupel!

Very light here still, it gets close then sinks south! Think I’m being punished for having so much the other night!

Fairly light snow falling, think the best is a little bit south again.

It doesn't seem to have hit mums side of town either, Hurdsfield. I live south side, towards Congleton road.
Yes looks like you caught the northern edge

Bit disappointing after a covering early on nothing since, looks like Macclesfield has got more of it just a couple of miles south

Mostly missing here to be the north snd the south. Need a slight adjustment!

White over straight away after a general thaw today only leaving partial cover on grass. So temperature must be low. I’d go out and play but it’s cold and I’m in my pyjamas.

This is starting to look interesting now for later on on in the night.

It’s a very wet moon out there. Shows how much moisture is around.
