    I have a feeling we will see more and more showers pop up and I wouldn't rule anything out, the fun is just starting IMO!

    Temps have dropped to 0c now. DP -7c in Margate. Wind sounds brutal coming off the sea!

    0.9c , Dew point -5 Cloud building. Really Brisk ENE wind here by the sea!

    At least we are pretty safe here! If the cold drops south a bit towards the continent we are still in the firing line. North of the M4 have had their time. It's our turn!!!

    I only ever see snow from a decent easterly! My youngest kid has never built a snow man. I also live right on a clifftop above the beach, rarely any frost let alone settling snow. It looks like the cold is coming for sure now. How deep and how significant any snowfall is going to be is a guess I am not educated enough to make. I think most in the South east have a good chance this time though. I guess it will become clearer in the next couple of days!

    I doubt we will see pure dry cold. Im fully expecting convection off of the north sea. Although sea surface temperatures are at a low this time of year, the 850 temps are really truly bitter, and I believe this will contribute to some decent convection. With any luck it will be at least as good as 2013. 12z Gfs was still epic, even more epic was the 12z UKMO which had deep cold breaching our shores by sunday lunchtime! Bbc and Met office have tweeted about snow risk in the last hour or so. Winter is coming!!

    I just had a couple of errant flakes fall. Actual snow flakes tho! Sad isnt it but I am actually hopeful now I have a chance at waking up to a dusting!

    Does anyone think it possible that a decent streamer from the current snow/rain over jersey could build up in the channel and deliver overnight? I noticed its grazed hastings...

    I've got lashing cold rain...It would be a miracle if anything settles later here after this. However...temps keep dropping...was 4 not that long ago..now just above 2. Is it possuble for snow to settle on wet ground?

    The north east coast is a few metres from my front door, barely above sl. I seem to miss out even when slightly inland has a dusting! Hoping over the course of tonight there will be some snow..even to see a flurry! I have to drive to rochester tomorrow and I'd hedge my bets that they will have a small accumulation!
