Look closely enough and you’ll see Larne is totally clear. Nothing all day :(. The Beast has bypassed us entirely, the sidekick Emma on the other hand is giving us a bit of a bettering!
Nothing last 2 days but snow now falling. Light but maybe get heavier haha. It pushing further north.

So with all this activity, why is Larne missing the action?
Mind you it’s bitter cold and very windy, just no snow
Not a flake of snow last couple days. Mad seeing other places getting buried.

That Streamer has been in the Channel since early evening. What a waste of snow! Somewhere could have got a right pasting out of

Of course quiet main snow through week for us
-
Up in Ballymena. Light snow falling. Good sign.

Do you see the showers on radar almost hitting the Irish sea from southern scotland and England. Wasn't expecting that. Might pep up a bit crossing the sea.

So... as you can tell, I’m a complete newbie here. How do you reckon Larne’s gonna be hit?
I will let you know if snow lying on ballygalley and drains bay beach ?

Serious question how will the whole of Ireland get pasted with snow but Ayrshire won’t ? ?
Won't see that much but in easterly convective showers hitting East Coast over Irish sea.

The beast from East is arriving. Enjoy the week.

Ronan I wouldn’t worry too much about this spell tbh. You may think that is crazy looking at some of the charts but imho this will not be a long deep cold spell. One or 2 days tops at zero or below during the day. The NW has done well this year in what has been a colder winter than recent years but I think this spell incoming has been overhyped. It won’t touch December 2010 were even on the coast here we had snow on the ground for 4 weeks and temps well below freezing even by day. I remember the Lagan near cutters wharf in Belfast upto Ormeau Bridge freezing over. That will not happen this time. Yes there may be places get a lot of snow. Yes we may have -14/15 uppers for a day or so but the trend has been there for milder weather in the ensembles and that has become more obvious today. Just my opinion though.
Rubbish lol. This cold spell will go into March.

Looks amazing down south through the week. Snow galore. Up North here just sun and dry tho skis going on for the frost.

On bbc weather said rain could turn to snow quite quickly as moves northwards into northern ireland. Something to keep eye on.
