Just waiting for the met office notification to pop up on my phone moving the warning away from Southampton for thurs and fri. Its only a matter of time, this week has been just horrendous have barely seen a flake all week. Fair play to the SW though my auntie lives in lizard village looks amazing....

Thursday and Friday very disappointing now for Soton.. been in no mans land for showers aswell. Just cold and sunny very very poor. If we cant get snow with this set up may aswell say game ovee

Massive downgrade across all sites for southampton snow now guess the models are pushing it west. This week has been very very disappointing....

How much movement does anyone think i have for a chance of a decentish amount of snow in southampton? Apps are saying two days of and on snow but not heavy. Has the track of the low moved west? Am i likely to be disappointed?

Thursday and Friday dry now on the metoffice website for Southampton, has the low gone west or staying south??

What is the news the low doesnt move as far north now on thurs/fri? Is it not passing as far west now? What are the chances for southampton snow thurs/fri? Rather than a bit of snow then rain?

Just watched the weather on bbc weather looks depressing for southampton. Snow showers tues morn south east. Heavy band of snow north east through north england then mid wales. Then wed snow focus is scotland. Then thurs all snow out west and low moving up to north england giving southampton rain...depressing if i cant get snow with this cold set up how will i ever.....resignes to it now

Lovely outside -1.5 in Southampton air is so dry so no moisture to give a frost. Never see that too much here. Whats the latest on thurs/fri? Avoiding mainstream apps the bbc had snow at 5 degrees and rain at 1 degrees yesterday!!

Wednesdays warning for snow cancelled now by metO aswell. Total joke 3 sunny days then rain...what an absolute washout. I should never have let myself get so mentally attached that we were going to have a freeze and the beast would be worse for 8 years. and might actually see some decent snow in southampton. I gotta stop caring about the weather so much.....

Getting more depressive by the hour. Snow warning now removed for hampshire on tues/wed and now even thurs is showing snow to sleet and fri allday rain...wouldnt be surprised if it ends up rain all thurs aswell. Really disappointing ending up with 3 cold sunny days mon/tues/wed. Gutted for my two kids who have never seen snow was hoping my 2 and 4 yr old would experience it....

Thanks for the response i guess it is too early just feeling disappointed. I have no real knowledge of weather but there was so much talk of the SSW and cold siberian air arriving which was going to give a proper cold spell. It has arrived later than what was said and now in the last 24 hra its gone by friday morning. So only 3 or 4 cold days. I dont get how it takes so long to arrive but can go so quick! I havent seen any snow since jan2013...

Im in southampton and now seeing rain friday double digits nxt weekend.. what is going on?? Anyone? Saw people on main thread saying game over for the south. How can it change so quick?
