  1. Just heard something against the window, looked out and it was sleeting heavily, briefly turned to wet snow with a few big wet flakes, then petered out to light rain. Oh, it's sleeting again
  2. Just looked outside and I can see the moon ? must be time for bed
  3. Currently dry in St Leonard's (ground very wet though after today). Temp 2.1c
  4. 3.7c here, can hear the wind howling outside and am sat almost on top of an oil radiator whilst working on my laptop. Alexa seems to think there is a 40% chance of snow at 9PM and is showing a snowflake symbol...she also told me there was a 47% chance of snow this morning at 8am, but of course it rained (not that I go by what that says). I reckon I might get some very wet sleet later
  5. 3.3c here in St Leonards and very wet. A thoroughly depressing morning!
  6. Turned into a very damp and cold night here, currently 3.1c Goodnight all
  7. Was 3.1 in St Leonard's a few mins ago, now showing as 3.3c. Damp afternoon, drove to Tesco and there was some sleet hitting the windscreen, now it's dry but the ground is wet. Hoping for something different this week, to take away the post christmas/back to work blues!
  8. Currently 4.0c in St Leonard's and dry. Saw several people swimming in the sea yesterday...maybe because pools are closed? Still, rather them than me
  9. Rain has stopped here, temp fallen to 1.8c Ground very wet though.
  10. Temperature has fallen to 2.7c in St Leonards with light rain.
  11. Raining here in St Leonards, however it does appear to have some sleetiness to it, which isn't a surprise. My sensor is currently showing 3.7c
  12. I've just driven past Hastings Pier. Not a sausage there either (or a snowflake)
  13. Morning all, Cold and frosty start in St Leonards. Nice to see a proper frost, fingers crossed for a little snow later, even if just a few flakes
  14. Good evening, Showers in St Leonard's currently, rain not snow.
  15. Light snow in St Leonard's, hopefully we will get clobbered with a few inches soon (oo-err). Time for a brandy and lamp post watch! Radar looks impressive...
  16. We got hit really bad in Hastings, think it was around 12th/13th March 2013 - I had to leave work early and have the next day off, there were some impressive snow drifts around and there were also cars buried in snow up on the Ridge (high part of Hastings).
  17. Like others on here, I'm finding it difficult to believe what is coming after such a lovely day today! Still, I love the snow, although I'd have preferred this type of weather in mid January so it would stick around for longer. Can't complain though, we did pretty well here a couple of weeks ago!
  18. It's been snowing lightly in Hastings for a while now and the wind is really picking up! Looks like there's more to come...
  19. Wow I remember this storm in Hastings, not as bad as this but there were cars buried and my colleagues got stranded driving home
