The rain may have finally stopped but it feels like October out there today cold, blustery, grey skies. The BH weekend thankfully is looking marginally better.

Hasn’t stopped raining since 8am torrential at times never lighter than moderate rain just yuck ️ Tomorrow might dry up as the day goes on but cool for the time of year probably 12c at best.

Must have missed the localised showers earlier as it remained dry with threatening skies here, a muggy migraine starting kind of evening.
Looks like a significant rainfall event setting up for tomorrow for NW England, N England, N Wales & N Midlands - even those areas that are often sheltered from the worst of the rain look set for a washout of a day if the forecasts are correct

Warm hazy sunshine and patchy cloud to start the weekend S Cheshire way this morning. Maybe a heavy thundery shower later this afternoon we'll see - tomorrow looks like a great late Spring/ early Summer's day 21-22c likely. NW England's best chance at dry and warm weather tends to come during May/ June. Ironically things tend to get more unsettled by mid July just in time for the schools breaking up for summer and prime midsummer holiday season we saw this last year with a good June followed by a wet July and August.

Just hit 25c, warmest day of the year so far here in S Cheshire, humid too - storms breaking out to our south and west over Wales so might be a two pronged approach of storms into NW England as we head into the evening if they continue to build and break out as they are

Hazy sunshine, warm, 20c - thunderstorm risk from around 3/4pm onwards with heavy showers/ thunderstorms moving northwards throughout the evening.

Got up to 24c locally here in S Cheshire today first humid feeling day of the season too with more cloud around turning the sun hazy at times. Tomorrow looks similar before the shower risk potentially thundery increases into Sunday breaking down into cooler more unsettled weather next week.
Happy weekend everyone!

A nicer day than forecast originally even some bright spells with rain staying to the East of the region. Next Bank Holiday weekends ‘warmth’ is looking like it’s being watered down already though sadly but milder than of late from mid week onwards.

Nice and bright start to the weekend, cloud amounts have increased from around 9am though still feeling cool out of any sunshine. Tomorrow could be anywhere from a total washout to bits and pieces of rain for the region. Fingers crossed for more Springlike weather from midweek onwards 18-21c a possibility into next weekend maybe woop woop if so as this year has felt like the longest & coolest early Spring since probably 2021.

Backtrack Yeah it was okish weather today nothing special just Spring like compared to the pouring rain & chilly temps of recent days. Didn’t last barely half a day till the heavy rain is back though ️ , tomorrow/ Saturday are looking ok but cooler more unsettled weather once again into next week.

Squally showers passing through if we hadn’t had enough rain today ️ Thursday/Friday I hope stay dry we need a week of drying out weather tbh.

Absolutely foul day if it wasn’t for the hint of blossom you would think it was November! ️ Today & tomorrow look like washouts, milder hopefully drier weather to end the week.

severe snowstorm I fear a May 2021 here's hoping for something drier and warmer.

Oh and it’s raining ️ again here’s hoping May makes up for what’s been quite a poor Spring so far on the back of a very wet Autumn/ Winter period.

severe snowstorm Same here wanted a lie in but woken up to another torrential squall line moving through ️

Wow this rain heavy-torrential in bursts and squally too. Today was an odd feeling day warmish some brightness but often had a cloudy threatening aura about it what with the strong winds tempered any real spring like feel.

A warmish but windy day across the region tomorrow warmest temps will be across the SE/ East Anglia but 16-18c likely across the region. Could see somewhere like Reaseheath Hall, Cheshire (Nantwich), Rostherne nr Knutsford, Cheshire & Hawarden, Flintshire, N Wales/ Cheshire border reaching 18c with some sunshine.

This weekends ‘warmer’ weather 16-18c is likely to be tempered by the strength of the wind particularly on Saturday. Will be nice to squeeze something properly Spring like out of April, weather doesn’t look like playing ball just yet.

Lovely weather day yesterday here in S Cheshire and it seems much of the region it was the first properly nice and more importantly dry/ Spring feeling day in a long while!
Today is useable some decent brightness this morning to start Easter Sunday before more unsettled weather arrives Easter Monday and for the majority of next week - no day being a no umbrella day sadly ️
April is often where we see us pushing towards our first 20c of the year it seems a long way off though yet.

-
Proper cloud burst over S Cheshire at the moment cold torrential rain & a chilly wind not a pleasant start to the Easter Weekend ️
- 6
-
cheshire snow If it was over NW England it would be heavy rain with a bit of sleet thrown in, Buxton buried In all seriousness though Spring hasn’t really arrived this March despite us not seeing a March 2018/13 style winter chill start of April looking wet & on the chilly side too.

Heavy rain/ hail mix squally winds & cold despite some brief brightness this afternoon ️

Have managed to dodge the worst of any showers here in SE Cheshire - many often light and quickly passing even some brightness this morning but brrr that wind is cold today feel like we’ve been dragged back into late winter again

A surprise heavy downpour passing through

Hate to say it but we are actually overdue a cool or close to average summer. Last summer was warmer than average I think I’m right in saying despite the very wet & poor feeling July & August. A cool summer by modern standards would probably be a summer that sees Manchester fail to reach 30c.
