Snowing steadily here. At least 4 inches deep and drifting into exotic shapes over 12 inches. Blowing off lawns and roofs and vortex ins up into the air. Spectacular but hard to photograph. should be some good photos in the morning. That’s if we can open the doors! ?? very windy.

No melting here overnight. Solid layer of ice outside under yesterday’s snow. Very unusual for us subtropical sheltered Devonians. dont think my subtropical plants think much of it though!???

Been for a walk up the road, took some photos, really black sky over the sea and light dandruff snow. fed the birds, defrosted their water (again). now got my ringside seat by the front southwest facing window for the Big Show later!

Wow! Red for us, that’s a first as far as I can remember. of course, back in ‘63 forecasts were primitive to say the least. we were buried up to the top of 6 foot banks in South Brent, S. Devon. Got photo of dad digging a way through! and it lasted for weeks too.

Light snow steady now. Very windy. cheapo garden thermometer shows -7c. Surely not? snow from yesterday still 3inches deep and frozen with ice underneath on the steps front and back. trying to keep the birds water from freezing and the food snow free! our forecast orange for today and Friday! WOW!

Traffic carnage at Hollacombe on way to Wembury and in the village. Has taken couple of hours for son to get through and has parked safely out of the way as can’t negotiate the final hill home. Walking the last bit.
