Was great here too in Woodhatch, explains why I'm shattered this morning!!!
Me too! Though the rest of the house slept through it apart from me and the oldest cat, who was sat up in the window watching the lighting and also enjoying the breeze.

A great few hours of lighting and thunder here from about 1am onwards, ending with a massive storm with constant T&L and heavy rain around 3:15 that lasted for a good 45 mins.

It’s been a lovely and pleasantly warm afternoon here in Redhill/Nutfield area, so much so I’ve managed catch the sun whilst washing cars and cutting the grass and now bathed in after sun cream!
-
Wasn’t expecting snow, got up and looked out and we have big 50p sized snow flakes and snow covered cars.

Snowing in Merstham (Redhill)

I thought it was easing off here in Redhill, but it’s come back strong again with a steady/heavy fall. A good few CM’s here I would say.

A friend of mine has messaged to say that it’s snowing in Haywards Heath and it looks heavy from the video! Nothing here in Redhill as of yet fingers crossed for something soon.

Here in sunny Reigate, our specially developed "Reigate Storm Shield" is in full action, keeping the storms away to day.
The little blighters made an attack on the town from the east. However, the RSS forced the storms to veer south into nearby Crawley. Well, they are a rum bunch there, after all.
Of course, should the Reigate Storm Shield fail, I'll file storm reports as normal.
From the Merstham side of Reigate, we’ve had a steady fall of rain with the odd rumble of thunder and the 1 flash of lighting. It’s been very disappointing so far.

What a lovely New Year surprise, beautiful blue skies and the sun shining through the bedroom window. Happy New Year all!

What a lovely end to the afternoon here in Redhill/Reigate area, the sun came out and it felt almost like Spring! Very warm whilst in the sun. Still surprisingly mild out, so much so I have the bedroom window open to get some air in!
Certainly doesn’t feel like end of Dec/start of Jan! I hate to disagree with most but I prefer this to cold/icy (maybe snowy) conditions that we should normally be seeing at this time of the year.

Radar shows something over us but yet nothing is falling here in Redhill/Reigate
-
Torrential rain with some thunder thrown in for good measure here in Redhill, very loud too!

The cloud is very heavy and has a red/yellowish look to it, but very mild here. Odd weather for this time of year.

Popped my head out the back door and we’ve had some more snow here over night

There’s strange blue clouds and a yellow thing in the sky there’s also a sound of drip drip drip in the garden!

The continuous snow here this morning has added another 1/2 inch to the 1 inch we had on the garden table.

A lovely wintery scene outside right now and it's been lightly snowing since about 8am here even though it wasn't forecasted.

Not much going on here apart from the roaring wind! Snow showers have gone for now.

The snow is beginning to fall fast here, the roads and paths that were clear of snow are now covered. Literally gone from nothing to covered in about 10 mins!!

Started to pick up here. A great crack of lighting and a big clap of thunder just now.
