Can see the distinct pattern of anaprop on radar now
One just to the west where I am in the North Sea, one over Limerick and one near Belfast
-
Still nothing here, just cold and a bit of wind which has died down from what it was before

I think it’s all anoprop.
It doesn't "look" like anomalous propagation though, as it normally has a distinctive look to it
It's annoying though that we can't track the snow and cling onto last hope with the radar being wrong

Wind here is gusty, not as strong it's been in past months but can really start to feel the cold now. Still no snow though

would we actually want it
Yes some of us would, I can understand others not wanting it though

There's definitely something up with the radar or something going on between the snow coming from the clouds to the ground
Is it possible the snow is getting evaporated in the air before it reaches a level that it's visible ?
Radar show light snow over head for the past 2 hour now but at sea level, nothing, can see the clouds going overhead so I don't understand why we're not getting the precipitation

Aye , lost all interest now , waiting for guaranteed rain that will be here without fail in near future .
Yep the rain will have no issue reaching the coast from now until next winter

Dangerous conditions on the coast road between Birkdale and Ainsdale while on my bike
The wind while strong didn't feel that chilled at all, if anything it felt warmer in the gusts which was surprising

I love the cold so long as it is extreme but not for too long if there not associated snow.
If it just going to be ordinary cold/chilly and dry I would rather it just warmed up and Spring arrived.
Yes I'm off out on my bike now to "enjoy" the freezingly bitter wind, the grey overcast sky and the severe lack of snow on the coast...
The funny thing is, if this was all rain instead of snow it would have no problem dumping on the coast but if it's anything remotely interesting then forget about it, you literally need all the stars and planets in alignment for it to happen

Just how far is Emma going to progress N before wheeling away W?
It will get zapped into the weather wormhole that exists over Merseyside and the coasts of Lancashire/Cumbria that takes any potentially exciting weather and teleports it to another part of the country or dumps it in the North Sea
