A train has struck a tree near Selling near Faversham and is blocking both lines. The A264 Pembury Road is blocked in both directions due to a fallen tree between the A228 and Blackhurst Lane near Tunbridge Wells. The A228 is blocked in both directions blocked due to another fallen tree from Maidstone Road to High Street near Tunbridge Wells. The A20 London Road in Allington near Maidstone is blocked due to a fallen tree. The A252 in Chilham between Ashford and Canterbury is shut in both directions due to a fallen tree. Reports of another tree down Kingdom Grove Road, Sevenoaks. Bekesbourne Lane in Canterbury is closed from the A257 Littlebourne Road to Station Road due to a fallen tree.

Latest CFS model output is showing blocking around the 14th Jan. This will tie in with the NAO going negative around that time frame allowing bitter cold winds from the Arctic to flow down. This also ties in with climatologist David King's forecast

Hi Tom, The MSM are going all guns blazing with the 2019/20 winter. David King the climatologist published his winter 2019/20 a few months ago and must be smiling at the latest winter updates!! It will be interesting what Ian Currie's take is on this as well. Here's my response to Sky News regarding their winter story!
