Biblical rain & the noise was something else.

The wind is quite shocking here at the moment. I’m less then a mile inland from Southsea. Trees might not actually be trees in the morning & can hear debris flying down the street.

After the disappointment of the afternoon cells splitting before they got to me, I'm begging the showers near the Channel Isles to turn electric as they come closer!
Mad wasn't it. the sky's were rather threatening over by you.
At one point I was in the open & the grumbles were right above me, at that point I moved as I felt quite uneasy!
It flew over, heavy rain and wind. Rather quick stome.
Eyeing up the channel like you for later on.

Amazing images Lu, I definitely recognise some of those CGs from my photos! Great to see what they looked like from a ... safer.. distance

My take on this week. Few different, but local locations.
Never seen a shelf cloud & to see 3 in one week was quite something.
To be under one was a monumental moment, to sit & watch the incoming storm with no wind, rain was really peaceful until it unleash the mighty power of biblical rain & wind!
Mother Nature I applaud you- 26

That shelf cloud was amazing to watch come over. The rain after however was not. What ISO is that - towards the end all my shots were over exposed - maybe I was too close to some bolts but either way a lot of photos are ruined!
-
Currently on top of ports down towards Fareham, bolts are bold & brass but needs to be just a tad closer

Hope so Lance. Last night was fair but too much crud so only a handful of photos caught something decent!
plus the rain was mental.- 1

The rain is horrendous. Totally soaked, had to pull over to wait for it to pass. Lightening still frequent - not bad just wish there was more sound!

ChannelThunder That is quite something considering your really not that far from me (at the time I was miles away) but my Brothers partner said it’s the biggest one she’s sat & listened too - they are Portsmouth.
