  1. Andy Bown I have the same problem. Twice I've strimmed the grass in anticipation of mowing the lawn, for it to then rain yet again. I can't even start gardening this year until I've cut the grass. I've lived in this house for 26 years and have never experienced 8 months of continuous rain/showers and a garden underwater.
  2. SollyOlly Agreed Solly Olly. The recent rains have been relentless, it's so much better to finally see the sun and clearer skies at long last. Even the cat was getting cabin fever earlier this week due to the rain
  3. Today was a real let down after yesterday. It's only just stopped raining and it looks like there's more to come over the next couple of days
  4. Neil Harris The Met Office would have got a caning if they had forecasted heavy rain instead of a foot of snow, so I suppose they can't win really. It's disappointing though for those wishing for snow.
  5. I know, right in the middle of the day during the small amount of daylight that we have at this time of year. Typical
  6. The rain really has felt relentless during this week so I'm not surprised by this
  7. Very cold and frosty earlier today. I went walking this morning and even the grass puddles had frozen over, but we were rewarded with a rare blue sky
  8. I agree, it's the absolute pits. It hasn't even got light during the day. Utterly dismal
  9. I agree. I absolutely detest this constant rain and dark skies. We've had so much rain and unsettled weather this year
  10. It's turned back to rain here too. Oh well we did have a few flakes but not for long. The cat has gone back to bed. He's disappointed
  11. Sleety rain here in Solihull UPDATE: ooh it's turned to light snow. The cat is getting excited
  12. I agree, a lovely crisp winter's day. I'm hopeful of more. The constant rain and gloom of the last couple of months was grinding my gears. Yes, it's going to be a cold one tonight I think
  13. You're braver than me - I didn't even fancy walking in this today And yes I agree 'cold rain' it was
  14. My cat loves the snow - he goes bonkers and tries to bury himself in it. I had to dig him out of snow once when he was still a kitten, all I could see was his black tail!
  15. Ooh yes much better day today for my walk. Even the cat enjoyed basking in the sun
  16. I agree I went for a walk earlier and temperature wise it could have been early January, minus the snow of course. Thoroughly depressing
  17. I agree, it's freezing today, I don't think it's got above 6C It would have been much better with some sun, but it's hardly got light today/
