A few rumbles and a few showers here this afternoon. Went to a local animal farm this afternoon. Was mostly cloudy and fresh and breezy but also quite warm at the same time. Max temp 21°C, currently 19°C but feels warmer. Feels quite humid, especially indoors.
Ive had quite a few thunderstorms/thundery showers this summer, so it's been a pretty good summer for thunder as far as I'm concerned. Better than what we usually get anyway, especially last summer. I don't even think I even heard a single rumble last summer, despite all that heat.

Blue sky and sun here, barely a cloud to be seen. The cloud just suddenly vanished about an hour ago. Forecast was supposed to be rain for most of the day - we'll they clearly got that wrong! (watch me jinx it now lol).

It has been a glorious Summer so far here! (West coast of Scotland)
I would rate it 9 out of 10.
Month of August so far has been wonderful - temperatures everyday between 20c to 23c, mild nights, plenty of sunshine and numerous thunderstorms. (2nd half of June and 2nd half of July much the same)
August so far summed up for me...warm temperatures, sunshine, wonderful convective skies and lovely sunsets.
Beautiful pics, thanks for sharing.

First day back in the UK. Humid it certainly is but mostly cloudy since 1pm. When oh when will we get a fully sunny day!
I've managed quite a few fully sunny days here this summer (today being one of them) despite living in quite a cloudy area! Currently 20°C with 60% humidity here according to bbc weather app.

Aye same here, great 8 days of August, tomorrow looks like last decent day though, 23 degrees type day
Tuesday and Wednesday were a bit dodgy here with a couple of showers but other than that it's not been too bad at all. Tomorrow bbc weather is forecasting thundery showers and moderate winds but with highs of 22°C it should have a warm and humid feel.

Very sunny here as well this afternoon, light winds and just the odd white fluffy cloud drifting about. Max temp 21°C but it felt hot sitting in the garden reading a book - sun is still very strong.

Hey mushymanrob. I Remember you from the digital spy forum. The weather thread is still going on there actually: https://forums.digitalspy.com/discussion/2124717/weather-watching-enthusiasts-thread/p369
Unfortunately I got banned from digital spy for being a bit of a goon lol. I was the notorious Steffan_Leach.

Anyway, it’s a nice day today, blue sky, plenty of sunshine and some fair weather cloud. Currently 20°C. Make the most of it because it might be the last nice day we get for awhile.

Our first autumnal storm on Fri, looking very wet for these parts. Roll on September when summer usually returns!
Hopefully but even the past two Septembers have been disappointing.

It's a bit wet outside again.
Friday doesn't look great for us either.
It’s gone crap hasn’t it. Currently 15°C and overcast with showers, breezy as well. Pendle Hill covered in mist, not seen the sun at all today. And they were forecasting today to be the better day compared to yesterday - well they clearly got that wrong.
BBC Weather forecast looks very uninspiring - after Friday it’s forecasting every day to be 16-18°C with rain or showers pretty much every day. But that’s what we usually get in August anyway so shouldn’t be surprised.

Currently 18.5°C here as well with 68% humidity. Overcast now.

Doesn’t look good for rest of August...

Also here’s another video clip of a heavy thundery Shower I had on the 30th of July.

A bit late in posting this but here is a video clip I recorded of the thunderstorm I had on Wednesday 24th July.

After a cloudy morning and early afternoon with a couple of showers it's brightening up now with sunny intervals and currently 20.8C. There's quite a brisk wind though, feels a bit autumnal.
Missed all the storms this weekend but had two overnight storms during the heatwave a couple of weeks ago so not that bothered really.

poor summer continues here...another deluge late yesterday and overnight..don't think we have had more than a 2 day run of dry weather since the end of May...looks like the prospect of not reaching 30c during the summer months is a real possibility now also.
Where are you? My area does not get the best weather but I managed 33C on Thu 25th July and 29C on Tuesday 23rd July. Other than 1st half of June it's not been too bad, it's been generally around 19-22C through July which is quite warm for here. Just the odd rainy 16C day here and there. Not had too rain since June either and some of that was from thunderstorms during the late July heatwave.
It's been a lot better than Summers 2016 and 2017, that's for sure.

14C minimum last night. Currently around 20C which is bit substandard for early August and there's a strong breeze that will result in some windchill. Spells of cloud at the moment. Feels like early Autumn.
Pretty much the same here. Currently 20.5C and moderate South-Westerly breeze, mostly cloudy with occasional sunny intervals. Had a couple of showers as well. Mild night last night at 13.8C. Typical August weather really. It's all downhill from here.

Overnight low of 17c here and currently partly cloudy, and 22.8c doesn’t feel autumnal at all where I am I’m still in shorts, roll on cooler evenings
Still in shorts here too and while it's been a warm weekend it defintely feels more like Autumn today, mainly thick cloud, moderate south-westerly breeze and 19c, typical August weather here.

Hello weather watchers. I’m new to the thread, been interested in the weather for a few years and have been regularly watching this thread for about the last two years but somehow never got round to signing up! Currently posting this from a very warm living room (24.5°C).
Been a very hot and sunny day here, max 29°, barely a cloud in the sky. Had a lovely sunset behind Pendle hill as well. It’s still 25° outside here, at 10 pm. Crazy, can’t remember the last time that happened here.
Looking forward to some “possible” thunderstorms tonight, of course as everyone is saying they never seem to happen much these days!

Hello everyone. This is my first post on the forum. I know this is an old thread but I too am struggling to change my profile pic. I'm new to the forum so im not familiar with the layout/software. I've tried going to my profile and clicking on the little icon next to my picture but when I click it doesn't let me change the picture, it just brings up an empty box with continue as the only option. Then it only lets me crop my current picture...
I have added a screenshot so you can see what I mean.
