  1. Potentially the Northern France Cells could become Multi-Celluar or even develop into an MCS once it's reached the shores of Southern England. Exciting.
  2. From Portsmouth webcams, you can see several lightning flashes every few seconds. Looks to be very active this one!
  3. Isle of Wight seems to be in the path of this growing group of cells. Looks like it may become a Multi-Cell system.
  4. Nothing wrong with being a dreamer! Although, good luck to anyone who can actually fall asleep in this heat.
  5. Ah yeah, these are the sort of clouds I was seeing earlier. Things are looking more promising for us in the SE...
  6. These two cells... look tasty! The line of cells behind the first one, looks like it may produce a lot of lightning/ hail. Also it better not turn out to be a Kent Clipper, I'll scream.
  7. Quite a few potent cells popping up East of the other cells coming out of Northern France. Seems like they are going to survive the Channel Crossing!
  8. Cells in Northern France seem to be coming to life... looks like they're moving in a NE direction... Hopefully they'll survive the Channel adventure and say hello to us in the SE lol
  9. Enjoy your bath! God, do I need another shower. The sweat just never stops. Even if there are no storms anywhere, it's gonna be a killer night for those who don't have a fan by their beds!
  10. I can see some whispy cirrus clouds or what I think are cirrus clouds in the distance to my south. Haha
  11. Personally I don't think anything will go bang for another couple of hours... but could be wrong. Who knows! That's what I love about "storm" nights, the uncertainity and fickleness of mother nature is awesome... but an actual storm would be amazing!
  12. There is potential for cells to pop-up over the SE and the London Area. On radar, you can see showers starting to pop-up in the Channel moving in a N-NE direction. Moving towards the areas Brighton and Portsmouth and the in-between areas too. So ruling out storms developing in the SE just because the skies look cloudless now, is a bit... stupid. These events are always hard to predict and I have no doubt that many in risk areas will be disappointed by the lack of storms. There seems to be plenty of energy in the atmosphere though for elevated storms to pop-up anywhere really in Southern half of the UK this evening. I'll be happy if I see one flash of Lightning in the distance... Fingers Crossed!
  13. The Channel just started to light-up! Maybe there's still hope!
  14. Those in the Brighton area, look like they'll get the best views if the storms re-ignite!
  15. Seems like the London Area might be the best vantage point. Although, they do appear to be moving in a more NE direction now.
  16. It seems like that band moisture might just be heavy rain, with the possibility of some embedded lightning and thunder once it reaches Brighton. The cells behind it seem to be sparking up again!
  17. Why is everyone so quick to just boldly state that nothing is going to happen? By most forecasts and indicators, storms weren't supposed to start pushing in towards the SE until the early hours. It's barely 11 pm and people are already throwing in the towel. Have a little hope. Also, most storms go through cycles. They may weaken whilst over cooler waters too, I reckon once the first main cells from N France push in over the SE they will begin producing Lightning and strengthen again. But don't hold that to me!
