Some very stormy skies in Leeds at the minute with heavy downpours on and off! -
After a brightish start the storms clouds have rolled into Leeds some heavy down burts of Showers.

A months rain in 3 Hours it just said on the news in Hebden Bridge.

@Hudsonweather: Holbeach, South Lincs has had heaviest rainfall so far today with 37.8mm this morning, according to the Met Office.

Madness here !!! Been hammering down ere since 7.30am started with a storm which was a very loud bang (loudest I've heared for a long time) and lighting stopped about 9ish followed by short heavy bursts of rain !! Started been torrential rain again since about 11.30 about 8 miles from home so I'm presuming it's the same in Morley current location Denby Dale just past Wakefield !!

Just in the middle of a storm in Denby dale were im working had intense heavy rain fall for nearly an hour now!!

First major storm of the year in Morley Leeds and its a big one the streets look like rivers flooding all over by the looks of things crazy!!

Just out in north Yorkshire harrogate at the minute noting but heavy rain showers :-( -
Working In harrogate today few heavy showers no thunder yet been on and off sunshine too!!

Just talking to lad on twiiter from Belfast said the powers gone off and the streets flooded..
