Ouch. The rain was very heavy last night too, our nearest Sepa rain gauge is showing 2inches from the last 24 hours and we missed most of the showers yesterday. The burn that runs along the side of the flat has burst its banks for the first time since I moved in here in October!
Thankfully it has started to recede, but when I took that picture there was about 4" deep along the side of the house draining off to the main road. The hill at the side of us had water cascading down it for the first time ever.

@Quinach Just back from our goto dark spot, and definite aurora, but clouds now rolling in. If clear skies look north as very active tonight. Keep a track using Glendale Aurora app.
Frost setting in now and down to 1c. All snaw gone.

Misty, murk permagloom all day, wish it would clear, huge aurora going off this evening. Seems Skye is only place with clear sky at present.

Sheet ice everywhere this morning, temp hovering around 0c still.
Anyone near the Fife coast, worth a trip to Kinghorn as there is 2 humpback whales. Usually spotted between Inchkeith and Bass Rock

Just driven back from Kinghorn, and blizzard conditions on the Queensferry crossing. Back in Dennyloanhead and mixture of snaw and hail. 2c, from 9c early afternoon
