  1. Had a little flurry here half hour or so ago, nothing on the ground, just enough on the windscreen to write the date in.
  2. Icing sugar dusting visible on the Cat and Flash cams. Ground dry here. Tablet app warning for icy roads. Fabulous blue sky and sunshine -1°, lovely.
  3. Under pink echoes at the moment, 2° currently, but no sign of snow, nothing on the ground, poked my head out of the back door and can feel a slight drizzle. On day off so back to bed.
  4. 13° here currently, and feels like 13°, there is no chilly feel in the breeze at all. April felt more like December, it feels more like an April morning this morning. Dry at the moment.
  5. Temps crept up through the night 11° and rain at 1.30am. 12° currently, temp from local weather station.
  6. Reached 12° earlier. My tablet app has temps increasing again from 10pm tonight and through the early hours.
  7. Yesterday was damp and dull, it didn't seem to get properly light at all. Last night's lowest temp looks to be 4°, tablet temp app and local weather station in agreement at 6° currently, damp on the ground but no rain for now.
  8. You've set me off looking through photographs, back in the day when you took your film out of the camera to be developed. This is a photo of a photo, hope it downloads ok. My daughter 6 months old, being pushed by nanny means this pic is most probably February 1999.
  9. Wow, the Wirral is only roughly 47miles or so from Macc, it's not even raining on your pic.
  10. Is it me or has it become warmer this evening than from tea time. 6° this pm, now it's 8°. Here's a couple of pics of mine from the 29th last year.
  11. Had rain here all yesterday evening and through the night. No snow visible on the hills above macc, however much higher up, there's a bit of snow on the Cat cam.
  12. Hmm, could be watching it on the Winking man and Cat cams, while lower altitudes remain wet. There's been many a time I've watched the hills above Macc turn white and cars coming down from them absolutely covered. It will be a nowcast probably, with the only thing reliable to watch will be the lamp post. Fingers crossed.
  13. Yes Macclesfield has been clear, and sunny all day, not a hint of fog. Don't know what temps dipped to last night, there was a good layer of ice on the outside of my bedroom window. Beautiful clean crisp winters day today, lovely. Current temp 2°C.
  14. 3° here in Macc. No fog before I went in Tesco for mums shopping, but foggy when I came out.
  15. There's an air of excitement on the mod thread at the moment for Christmas. Meanwhile grey, but dry couple of days here, too mild though, yesterday pm I walked home with my coat over my arm, some frosty dips in temps needed followed by great anticipation of the old white stuff for this time next week,......please.
  16. Colleague who comes from Buxton said it was white over first thing, Cat and Fiddle passable with care. Had a few really heavy hail showers accompanied with skies almost as dark as night.
  17. First part of clip is the bottom of Hurdsfield Road, end of clip is under the Silk Road where it passes Arighi Bianchi furniture store. My 2 sisters live Hurdsfield area, fortunately their homes unaffected. What a shame for those whose homes look to be in the midst of it. Heartbreaking. Will probably get details when in work in half an hour.
  18. 2 flood alerts issued for the river Bollin just after 10pm, one of them was for here in town. Heard a number of sirens about 40mins ago, I wonder if the two are related.
  19. Been 3 very brief lulls in rainfall here all evening, otherwise it has been relentless.
  20. Still horrible and rainy this side of Cheshire. Quite a bit of tree debris strewn about when I walked to work this morning, soaked through when I got there.
