  1. Hi, i have also just purchased a weather station from La Crosse, being a newbie topwards weather stations i first looked for a product that did exactly what i wanted and compared with price. First off all think about what readings you want to et from it, i.e Rainfall, Wind etc. I have just looked at the W/S you have thought about and have found it to only give you windspeed and temperature readings, but if you want a basic option to see wind and temperature it looks O.K. But if you want to be able to monitor your local weather by taking readings of all the elements then you will have to go with a more 'upmarket' weather station. Also note if you can connect it to a computer, as this can be very useful esp. when you want to display your weather on the internet.

    Hope that helps :D;)

thank you andy as helpfull as always. i have only been seriusley looking this week there just seems so many out there and i do not want to purchase something that does not do all i want it to as you have mentioned i want it to do everything and connect to my pc

so any links would be gratefull

  2. Real marginal call Andy, not sure lower levels are going to see much snow

More a rainy/sleety mix.hope for you I am wrong. Hertford doesnt seem to fare well when Snowy conditions are around if my memory serves me well?

I think as has been pointed out a real waiting game right up to the last few runs.......16 more to go yet :D

Subtle changes on every run will make this a last minute call where or if it happens.

Hope your under some heavy snow come Friday though mate :)

    Regards

    CV

hertford never gets it but i think the thing about the bbc forcast tonight is they have not mentioned any snow untill tonight and now its blizzard conditions then they finished not saying where it could hit and which areas will be affected typical of the bbc i think once wednesday comes they will stick there neck out and say which areas will be hit

but knowing hertford they will say everywhere will get snow apart from hertford :)

Yeah, it seems pretty good. I never used the one you have so i cant comment on if it's any better or not. I think cloudburst might have? He does a lot of image editing :)

thanks for that i will have to ask him i use it a lot at work but at home i like taking pictures of the kids and turning the pictures in to line drawings very clever software

  4. Hi,

Hope it's OK to post this webcam link, it's not Norway but it has a lot of snow in Winter. Has a very fast refresh rate too.

At the moment there is no snow and for some reason it's pointing towards the ground but usually it points to the cabins with the mountains in the background.

You can also keep an eye on the weather for the area and watch out for snow at

Hope you find this interesting (when they move the camera)

    Best Regards,

    Mark.
