  1. Luckily it's sunny and very warm/humid here to the south of London,. I was expecting clouds after last night's storm. Can see the clouds to the south but definitely looking positive for later.
  2. Lots of lightning here now, beautiful display but mostly cloud to cloud.
  3. Watching both Eastbourne and Worthing lightning shows to the south. Weirdly they seem to be in sync with the flashes.
  4. Quite a bit of lightning now from the south which is an unexpected bonus.
  5. Blue skies appearing. Only in the UK would that be something unusual or worth reporting!
  6. Yesterday from 11 onwards we had pretty much unbroken sun and warm. Yet looking North from Reigate Hill into London 15 miles away you could see the cloud. Not easy to forecast that unfortunately. This week does look pretty disappointing though at what should be one of the best times of year.
  7. They are good at throwing stuff into the sea
  8. New Met Office thunderstorm warning for tonight in the South East and East Anglia. So that's done it, now a guaranteed fail!
  9. Huge amount of lightning to the south of here now and first audible thunder.
  10. I'm about 4 miles away and the wind noticeably picked up about an hour ago and the temperature has rocketed as a result.
  11. Looking very stormy now near Redhill Surrey) Couple of cells visible. Winds also picking up.
  12. Strongest gust of the day in Reigate just now. A few trees down blocking some of the main roads A217, A25 etc. Fence gave way a few hours back without so much of a fight.
  13. I have lost count of the number of amber warnings we get in Surrey and nothing at all transpires. Yet here we are with a severe and life threatening storm certain to hit and no red warning.
  14. As expected, a total bust for 99.9%. Now we are left with the cloud and mizzle.
  15. Seem to be cursed when it comes to holiday weather. Each time we go away in the UK it's guaranteed great weather the week before or after but never during our stay. So off we head to Devon next Saturday for a week
  16. All kicking off here in Reigate, if you excuse the pun. Torrential rain and quite a few fork lightning strikes.
  17. Torrential rain here in Reigate, sky is black, surely has to thunder soon?!!
  18. Nice to see the French weather channel La Chaine Meteo now talking about a major snowstorm with 'lake effect' snow affecting the UK from the weekend onwards.
  19. View from Reigate Hill looking South West, some nice towers shooting up and a storm heading on from Horsham direction.
