All this happening on the back of people saying there was no chance of cold or snow
It has been very patchy.
Some people still have not seen snow.

School trip CIB. Bloody schools!!
They close schools, but still have school trips.
Something not right there.

I've got to collect a child from a thing at 11:30. I do hope the polar low/Cheshire streamers/other associated snow features can hold off Birmingham until after midnight.
Past their bedtime...surely?

Make a wish...The Midlands wishbone effect is working.

Can anyone remind me what the conversion is from rain mm to snow cm?
1mm of rain = 1cm of snow. I think.

I think we are all waiting to see where that heavy precipitation between N.Ireland and NW Scotland goes.
Could be a long night for those staying up late.

From an IMBY point of view I am hoping the NMM has this one correct
Needs to be further south and west for me.
-
Was snowing here a minute ago then stopped.

The signs are from the models and Tamara, that this cold spell may continue into March, with no real threat from the Atlantic.
Bring it on.

Its funny looking at that because it means nothing as the track is uncertain read the met warnings also heavy snow here now
Current snow from Brum is heading south east, so those charts PW posted are well out of date.

Have a light covering here after last snow shower.

Just started snowing here at last
-
Not really had anything in terms of snow here this week.
Just literally a few flakes last night, but that was it.
-
New yellow warnings issued for snow and ice for all of the midlands for tonight and tomorrow lol dont you just love the weather
Showers from the west continue to break up before reaching here, a biting wind continues with wind generally from SW
There should be a Weather Warning here for Bright Sunshine. That's all I have.
-
Desperate for a covering.
I just need one snow flake.
Not had one today.
-
Lol. Well you can have it back, it's no use to me!
The double snow flake has reappeared for 2pm Thursday afternoon.

Well, I've got a double snowflake for 11pm on the MetO forecast, and yet there's not a thing falling from the sky.
Super Computer? Pah!
That must be the same one I had at 11pm, but was replaced by sleet symbol and nothing fell out the sky.
They just move it around during the night when they get bored.

Is there some sort of dreaded mild sector as any showers
were all supposed to be of snow?
Dew points have risen, as the wind is more WSW, so I guess the showers are picking up the warmer air from the Bristol Channel and Irish Sea.
-
The wind is more westerly at the moment.
Definitely not north west.
-
Sorry, false alarm. It was a neighbour putting the bins out and our security light coming on.
That reminds me...I must put the bin out tonight.
