    Least you got some we didnt get so much as a flake. Think it's more to do with the population and infrastructure plus people have been complaining about the gritters etc.

    Indeed. Truth be told, I find their warnings have a higher success rate when they're late to the party (i.e. when they issue theirs after Convective Weather, Netweather etc). 

    It's when they issue a broad warning days before the effective date of the warning that things get much more sketchy I've found!
