    Same here in Long Eaton. Had some really intense heavy rain here, still going, and just had a big flash of lightning and thunder to my east.

    Absolute muck here on the Notts/Derbs border in Long Eaton. Can’t see anything of note happening today and it looks like everything that’s developing will either swing by west or east of us.

    For some reason my mother in law has turned up and decided to do some gardening for us, so expecting her to be four gardens down come 1.30pm

    Sat in Long Eaton, on the border with Derbs/Notts and it's been very benign and calm most morning. Had the odd gust here and there, going by the met office reports we should now be in the peak. Hoping it stays like this.
