A dull start to this morning and there's a large puddle at the bottom of the garden after the 28mm of rain that fell over night. Dry, ground damp, 16.4 deg.C, very light breeze, total cloud cover.

Good morning. I got it from the Weather Shop through their web site. £505 all in, but that includes a three foot length of three-quarter inch aluminium pipe for £20 that I thought was a bit cheeky, but it includes some software to link the kit to my pc. Excellent choice in beer by the way. I can see I'm going to feel right at home here.

My new weather station arrived at 2pm and following a dash to B&Q in the middle of a squall to get some clips to strap the external unit to a clothes pole, I read the instructions, put it all together and installed the various bits. Obviously, at the moment I switched it on, the wind dropped to zero and the rain went off so it's not showing nuffing now. Hey ho.

Dreich start to the day, verging on gey dreich. I've still got the lights on, and the heating. Light rain, 15.1 deg.C, moderate breeze, total cloud cover.

It's remained dry but cloudy since this morning with the temperature only rising to 13.7 deg.C and the wind getting up to around a moderate breeze. Not worth a diary entry.
