  1. Very wet snow in Moira and trying to settle on the cars. Blowing a hoolie!

  7. Light snow in Newtonabbey but doesn't look to be settling. I hope this band reachs Moira, as that's where I live!
  8. Looks like a lot of precipitation. I'm don't think it will fall as snow on low ground though. It was snowing early this morning in Newtonabbey but now has turned to light rain.
  9. Yes, I suppose it was always going to be more of a higher ground event. Just too marginal for lower levels
  10. My 1 cm of snow is now melting. I'm not sure what the amber warning was about but there is still some winter to go yet. Let's see what it brings.
  11. Should we be concerned that Met IE are warning of accumulations only on higher ground?
  12. Does anyone remember a few years ago (can't remember the year) on Boxing Day, the Met Office had a red alert out for snow and all we got was rain? If it can work this way there could be a chance it could also work the other.

  14. Met office forecast indicated that there would be snow on the leading edge of the rain edging in from the South West. Anybody seeing any snow out of this yet?
