It's a sign of the accelerated warming during the past few years that hotter 850s airmasses are developing earlier and earlier in the year and also spreading further and further N. I wouldn't be surprised if 2024 breaks more heat records in Europe and UK. Hottest year in UK since records began, of that I am already pretty confident. David
