    Shrewsbury seems to miss a lot of the snow,last Christmas we woke to some flakes here in Telford,when we got to Shrewsbury there was none,when we got to Oswestry(My sister lives there) there was also none. Then about 7pm it started to snow. By morning it was gone but on the high ground around Oswestry there was about 3 inches,Shrewsbury again had none as did Telford. Snow events of late seem very localised?

    When i searched the 'net for infor on this event there doesn't seem to be much on it? The metoffice website doesn't seem to mention it either?? I know for sure it was bad where we were-was it very localised or something?

    I think it would be March '95?? I had just got a new car from Wolverhampton (which was a '94M! So that's how i'm remembering) When we hit the M54 @ Telford the snow had covered the Motorway,when we got home in Shrewsbury there was much less snow but it caried on and we got a good covering.

    Yep-Shawbury is just down the road from me(RAF Base) We had central heating installed at home that winter! They just finished testing it and the snow had just started!! Hate to think what it would have been like if we didn't have it!!!!

    around here i would say the lying snow depths were about 40cm,drifts were huge though!

    I'm sure we had loads of snow in Shropshire in January '82?? I remember it still being on the side of the roads in March.

    yep that storm really was something!! Constant lightning over the Wrekin!! watched it for hours(sad?!)

    Few flakes falling here,spoke to my sister(Ashford,Kent) she say's they have a few inches!!!

    still got nice big flakes here although none is sticking. Such a shame as the ground was frozen this morning,if the ground had stayed frozen all week we would have a foot now!! Still nice to see SOME snow though,certainly beats rain.......... edit,as i type the sun appears again

    sun has been out and ground is wet. snow has just started again with flakes the largest i have seen all week!If this had happened last night it would have given us a good covering Nice to see though

    Snowing lightly in Telford.Settling too as the ground is frozen According to the forcast it won't last But then they've been wrong about everything else this week!!

    was rain now turned back to snow.all lying snow has melted and it's wet And for people who say this is good for February,i remember us having some proper snow in MARCH '95 IIRC

    very fine snow coming down here,very light covering,melting on pavements ;( But forcast say's more this afternoon We shall see......................

    just started to snow here again.not much at the moment but it's clouded over nicely.

    We have snow Only a light dusting but big flakes in the shower. Clouding over again & looks like more to come. Temps seem too high though as the dusting is already melting on the ground

    well i hope ther big black clouds i can see from over that way are going to dump some snow here then :huh:

    "snow" coming down now looks like a very brief shower(blue sky!!) very fine snow,powdery,winds picking up even more

    a few flakes coming down here(Telford,Shropshire) so it is making it inland.wind has picked up slightly too. not much in the way of cloud though
