Coming down nicely now in Medway and sticking to grass and cars but not settling on concrete which we need it to really to get a good build up.
Settling everywhere in my part of Medway now so you should be good soon

A good covering on the road now, getting heavier & bigger flakes, I'm dancing round the kitchen like a loony!
-
Quite heavy now and sticking to cars etc instantly, took its bleepin time but it got here!
-
Getting a little heavier now in Rochester as we come into the darker colours on the radar, small flakes and very windy

Well I won't lie, I thought everything would be further along by now, but it does still all look on course albeit a few hours behind schedule

Think it's still sleet here, when you say SW do you mean in the channel.
No it's showing on land, just SW of Dover & NE of Folkestone on the latest two frames on the netweather radar. Thinking about it now though it hasn't moved in those two frames so it might be one of those anoprop things or whatever they're called? I'm not sure.

I can’t emphasise enough how strong this wind is here.
Your username is also helping to reinforce your point lol

PINK BLOB ALERT! The first pink blob has appeared on the radar just south west of Dover....

Sat waiting for the transition to snow like

The slow transition is tedious but I just keep telling myself it will make it all the more exciting & rewarding when it does finally turn to snow and I am SO FRICKIN' EXCITED!!

Temperature slow to drop here but that was the forecast, a slow and steady drop. Currently at 5C and wind definitely picking up now with rain on and off.

What up with the euro four, does it have a sleet fest or something?
They say at the top of their post nya means not yet available (I didn't notice it at first either!)

Taking one last look out at the green grass in the garden as it begins to get dark, I hope not to see it again for at least a week! lol

If the BBC really did say “might clip the SE” then that’s worrying. There’s a good chance that’s inaccurate - I reckon we’ll know more by 10pm forecast. They can’t possibly not stress uncertainty then
I've been watching nearly every BBC news channel forecast since lunchtime (well the Saturday night/Sunday part) and I didn't hear that phrase used once. The uncertainty stressed was the northern & western extent of the band but it was confidently expressed that Essex Kent etc would be affected by heavy snow & blizzard like conditions & 'potentially' extending into the London area etc too. That's been the gist from the last few forecasts

Well somebody's getting fired...BBC South East weather just now showed the Look East forecast instead lol the newsreader was like "Sorry, that was the wrong weather" - it's similar enough to the SE patch though I guess

I'm super excited for next week looks like we're finally getting a proper cold spell with snow on the cards for most of us!!! At last!! Although I don't know if I can mentally cope with another 'not sure of the exact placement of the low' scenario again, my nerves are still in shreds from the last one lol

This has got to be one of the most frustrating winters ever, I think this will be my fourth marginal event with a fine line between rain and snow. This sort of pattern is worse than mild and zonal, at least you know where you are with that, with this it's just constantly teasing but never delivering the goods!! Maybe this Saturday's event will be the one to break the pattern so far but I'm not getting my hopes up lol

Disastrous here lol had twenty minutes of on off trying to snow and now nothing for over half hour & the radar showing me as under the band. Third non-event of the Winter so far for me, don't know how much more I can take!

Not a sausage. Must have gone several miles to the North.
The band's on our doorstep, should be here in the next hour or so looking at the radar

Quietly confident about early tomorrow morning's event here, even to just see some snow falling for a while would be so nice & would be the first time this winter, if I manage a dusting even better but not getting my hopes up too much just in case!! At least there's no chance of the front sailing off into the channel this time lol

Sara Thornton just on BBC S.E (always love her forecasts btw she's so clear and succinct) started off with "Snow lovers may be disappointed" lol aren't we allways!

I still think it's further north it's still in Wales not below it, and even going further up Wales a little now.
I agree, so is that an extra lump of the system that hasn't been accounted for? Lol. It's definitely right over South Wales, seems like the majority is all but in the channel though sadly.
-
Well whatever it is that the METO are basing their data on its been consistent with the system going right through the channel for most of the day on the 'forecast' section of the radar, my forecast from them has been flipping between no snow/snow/no snow (and currently no snow) throughout the day though. The Weather Channel has remained consistent for me in showing precip from 8-9pm tomorrow starting as rain/snow mix and then pure snow from 10pm to 3am ish and I often find them to be quite accurate but I don't know what model they use?

It took a while but definitely settling on all surfaces now although where there are puddles it's taking a bit longer!!! Yeah it is strange how it can vary over short distances but I'm sure you'll catch up as it keeps piling in for our area
