[Storm Eunice - 18th February]

Hi guys, I need to go to Wimbledon today for work and not sure what to do if taking the risk or not to drive there. I never experienced winds or warnings like these since i was born.

 

Any suggestions? Did anyone drive in these conditions?

It is sad not seeing a proper snow event in these charts.. at least from South East (west london) to west which have been completly dry. Wasted cold..

Taking a quick look, a couple of factors at play. The wind direction is more favourable from the Wash northwards as there's more of an easterly element to it. There's also a longer run across the North Sea to build convective showers which penetrate inland. The wind direction south of the Wash has turned north easterly and has a longer run across East Anglia before reaching the SE, by then giving light snowfall.
