  1. You are more here in SE thread than East Anglia surely?

Effectively I'm on the edge of this one and the Central Southern. That means either in with Dover or Penzance pardon.gif

It also means I'm probably just on the edge of the possible snow too. Seems to happen quite often here tbf

  2. You can choose whichever one you like, there's no rigid line, merely a vague idea of general area. If I were you, I'd stick around in here, we're a friendly lot not generally prone to hysterics if it all goes pear shaped. You may however be nominated as our official stealth monitor who can sneak in and out the other South thread, have a nose around and report back in here.

    Yes.

I'll be a stealth agent for you guys.

    Not them.

    Oh what a giveaway....

  3. With the chance of frost and more on the horizon again, I thought I'd post my frosty images from the winter so far...

  4. Sorry. Southern England biased Media - Stop Moaning !!!!

    How's that? :(

PS. Now snowing again. Powder stuff, the kind that's 'wrong' for the South East! :D

This bitterness towards the South is very very dull.

On the plus side, 9-inches in my part of Surrey, I have a home-working kit so no need to risk myself or any one else on the road!

    No moaning here.

  5. It is strange how it is all panning out.

I live within half a mile of The Solent and it starting raining heavily before 5 o'clock. By 5.30pm it was snowing heavily and hasn't stopped since. The trusty ruler is showing between 7 and 8 cms at the moment (about 3 inches in old money) which in normally fairly snowless South Hampshire at sea level is pretty rare!

    L

Just been out to measure, and there's just shy of 4 inches laying, still snowing lightly, and I'm watching the large area of snow that's just cleared Portsmouth, wondering whether it'll hit us. Could be a February-rivalling covering by morning if it does!

  6. Woke up today around 6A.M. from a really loud bang of thunder. I'm still not sure whether this was part of a dream or there really was a snow thunderstorm over here?

Snowing quite nicely over here in Egham at the moment, although seems to melt into this slushy stuff as it lands.

Mum lives in Englefield Green and she was woken by it too. She was equally confused.

As for here, car is now covered by just under an inch I'd say. Snow has slightly lessened, but still going.
