  1. Active cells now on the Worcestershire/Herefordshire boarder. Lightning detected near Tenbury Wells and heading for the west midlands. Looks very promising for this evening
  2. First thunder and lightning from the Wolverhampton cell and more to the south around the Durley area.
  3. Some cloud building recently started around staffordshire. Just spotted this anvil.
  4. Been clear blue sky's around South staffs for many hours but clouds now developing to the east around the Tamworth/Nuneaton area.
  5. Yesterday was far better here in South staffs. Plenty of thunder and beautiful cloud formation. Nothing but rain today and not a single thunder clap.
  6. Well its been a fantastic day in South Staffordshire today. I've been out on a 16 mile hike and witnessed some fantastic cloud formation, several thunder cracks and lightning. I remained dry throughout my hike without a drop of rain. Absolutely loved it and now chilling out with a beer and some good food
  7. There certainly was a lightning strike. Just further north in Norton canes. Caused a lot of damage to a house apparently.
  8. Yes some lovely rumbles this afternoon. I'm just next door in great wyrley and apparently a lightning strike hit a house in Norton canes and caused a lot of damage.
  9. Some nice breaks in the clouds in the Midlands now and warming up nicely. No longer a matter of if but more a matter of when
  10. I'll be up on the brecon beacons at the crack of dawn waiting for the kick off with my camera. Thankfully there are lots of caves nearby I can duck into when the lightning strikes.
  11. It's going to be a fantastic day tomorrow for most of the UK and I'm so looking forward to it and seeing some fantastic snaps on the forum tomorrow.

  13. I'm just about to drive down to the M4 corridor area from the Midlands. Will report back if I catch anything interesting.
  14. It's forecast thunderstorms over the weekend for the south but I'm not expecting much as it's not going to get anywhere near warm or humid enough to create anything significant.

  16. It's alright for some. Just about every country in Europe has had storms over the last few days but the UK as usual gets diddly squat. This country is a complete and utter joke.
  17. Could be interested if those 3 weather systems near Brest, angers and nantes collide. Could throw up a supercell.

  20. Some strikes occurring over the Channel now. Fingers crossed they make it on land.
  21. We have drizzle here now in the Midlands but I definitely did hear a rumble beforehand towards the south.
  22. Well here in the Midlands some dark and moody clouds have just started rolling in and I've just heard a slight rumble towards the south.
  23. Reports of tornadoes touching down earlier this morning along the French/ Belgium border along with a Report of sisters.
