  1. *Stormforce~beka* I wouldn't say "sun" i.e. clear sky but there's big breaks in the cloud. Definitely not like that photo you just showed which is predominantly grey. I'd call it "mostly clear" in my area.
  2. *Stormforce~beka* Another beautiful day in Cloudshester, Cloudshire. Jokes aside, your area has genuinely been such a magnet for cloud the last 12-18 months. Wonder what the meteorology behind it is. It's not typical a particularly cloudy part of the UK.
  3. Fair bit of cloud bubbles up throughout the afternoon compared to earlier but nice and warm and still on and off sun so it could be a lot worse. This was also anticipated to be the worst day of the high so it should be only up from here
  4. *Stormforce~beka* I think you just feel the cold quite sensitively tbh!
  5. TwisterGirl81 Definitely deserved. 21c is very decent indeed. Only managed 19c here (well I say only, im not complaining, but I'd have preferred 21c haha!)
  6. ChannelThunder there is a suspicious absence of jet fuel trails today
  7. Yeah I think it quite literally is (the sunniest since Jan). We did have a few *mostly* sunny days in April and Saturday was good in my area, but they weren't properly clear as the sky had some haze on and off for big chunks of the day. Today is what I consider predominantly clear because of the clarity of the blue and there's an odd fluffy cloud but none of that haziness. Nothing like needing to wait a solid 3 months+ for some proper HP lol.
  8. Beautiful blue out there today. Love it. This is what we've needed more of for months. Properly sunny mornings with good light levels, such a nice change from the near-constant clag and dull grey gloom.
  9. Gonna be some serious rain totals here today for my area. Well, for May rain averages at least. Just non-stop, heavy rain for hours and hours, with only a brief bit of respite for 30mins or so earlier in the afternoon. Pretty woeful. Tomorrow of course looks good, because that's when everyone is back at work lol.
  10. Absolute washout here. Dull, dark, wet and cool. Grim. At least Saturday and yesterday were dry and mostly sunny (in my area anyway).
  11. CryoraptorA303 What's your preference for excessive rainfall in Autumn based on? I have a friend who enjoys it from the perspective of comfort and relaxation (hearing it against the window for example). I personally enjoy the crisper Autumn weather. So, dry and sunny but with a frosty morning and some mist too. A lot of rainfall in the UK just tends to equate to muggy and mild unfortunately stainesbloke Spring is the season of life to me, quite literally. Things are growing and birthing. Autumn is the season of biological descent into winter. Doesn't make it bad ofc. I like Autumn. But imo it's not a season of life. Days shortening, animals going into hibernation, etc.
  12. Wade Quite regionally dependent today tbf. Some areas only had 11/12c or so. Even the 17/18c in my area was decidedly chilly when a cloud came over and covered the warmth of the sun. markyo the freshness of today was quite lovely. The humidity yesterday and the day before was not pleasant for me, it actually gave me a weird pressure headache. Never had that before.
  13. markyo he probably just means in his area. 23c yesterday in Scotland!
  14. Ended up clearing earlier than forecast here. Can't complain. Ideal weather for my friend"s engagement party.
  15. Don I definitely am. Felt a bit like a vampire emerging from my coffin this morning when I went out into the sun. Here it comes, right on cue. It'll no doubt clear up again come late afternoon/early evening Why does this country have a literal inability to remain sunny for just 1 whole day?
