    where’d the storm go? i wasn’t tracking it and i got a surprise lightning notification, rushed to my vantage point upstairs, saw two flashes and now it’s just gone? like that? man.

    same here, i got a notification that there was lightning nearby and i’ve seen two flashes, should have been looking out earlier lol

    This is my photo of the day, after the Hucknall storm passed and stopped chucking huge hail at us we stayed out to watch the line develop and intensify to our south, it gave us some fantastic views of horizontally extensive lightning and some CGs while it was still low precipitation. Lots of deep booming thunder from it too. :D

    i was watching it to my south, the way it intensified into a big line was amazing, some really beautiful horizontally extensive lightning.

    was a belter but i have to give it to the storm before our euro match, that was throwing so many forks of lightning in our direction it was unbelievable. either that or the 11th of May storm where it hit us directly and moved off northeast while throwing out all sorts of anvil crawlers and CC lightning in the distance.

    just been swallowed by the whales mouth, the thunder has gone from low and booming to crackly

    I’m calling it “Day Of The Anvils”, i can see at least 5 separate storms around me including the one that’s just passed over.

    sorry for the shaky time lapse i was being bumped around by dogs. this structure to my north looked to be rotating and it’s on the southern side of the storm, could it be a mesocyclone? IMG_1172.MOV
