  1. Definitely had a lot of rain today. And the windiest it’s been is in the last couple of hours. 40-45mph.
  2. Severe weather fascinates me. I love tornadoes. But moments like that remind me to respect it. I wanted a slice of the action but ended up thankful that I got what I got.
  3. So had a yellow warning for wind. That wasn’t too bad for us. No yellow warning of rain and flooding. I however do not envy some of the scenes seen in other places though. We had it light.
  4. It’s absolutely tipping it down In Hornchurch. So far wind hasn’t been a real concern but the rain is. I’m now waiting for the wind to join
  5. Weird. The met office is forecasting I’ll go into a lull around 9am and then start getting gusts. But I’m finding we’ve already been in a lull and the wind has just started weakly gusting up. Travelling into work. I’m going to prepare for worse conditions just in case. I’m worried that with it hitting in daytime again and it being so calm it’s going to catch people out in the southeast. It won’t be anything like the south coast but even 50mph+ with the trees the way they are could cause disruption to travel.
  6. It’s raining a lot. But the wind is relatively calm. In fact for a little while it was still. Calm before it hits or is this going to be a no show?
  7. Thanks for the heads up. Either way the pressure is dropping.
  8. That’s crazy. 0.3mb drop in 8 minutes. I’m now 972.8mb to be precise. Edit: make that 0.4. Now 972.7mb Something is brewing
  9. I've never seen it like that. It's raining, but nothing excessive over here yet, rain or wind wise.
  11. I'm noticing it picks up abruptly with the rain. I went outside half an hour ago and it went eerily still.
  12. I would gather so. I'm waiting for models to update their forecasts.
  13. I am surprised the Met Office hasn't issued a red for the very south coast yet. I think its starting to get pretty obvious from peoples observations already this is going to be a serious hazard for them. The waves are already incredible.
  14. There is good chance companies related to infrastructure have been briefed on a worst case scenario. Computer models don't just run once, so its possible we have a few worst case tracks of this storm.
  15. Interesting, the average wind gust of my location is slowly increasing. Was 48mph now 48.5mph with Meteoblue still showing an outlier of a forecast. 50.4mph if omitted. If new models keep showing this moving northwards and with a potential stingjet I expect forecasts to change for the worse.
