Not a big fan of having to turn the bathroom light on to take a shower at 11 in the morning. Bring back the sunshine for the sake of our Vitamin D and utility bills!

Chilly and gray here, feeling tired as per usual when it's gray. It's gone too far to the opposite extreme from last week. Low 20s and no clouds would be great.

Yes, it is crap today, solid grey ceiling and cool-feeling.

Clouds have reduced here since earlier. Makes me wish for a swimming pool in the back garden!

100% with you. Boring drizzle with no sense of mugginess at all, it just feels like damp autumnal chill. I'll believe we have anything more than moderate rain when I see it! This one thing that I dislike about London, at least in Manchester there are several heavy falls of rain scattered here and there throughout the summer, down here, it's just soulless, anaemic drizzle in most cases.

Blobby clouds here too, but they are more towering and tropical looking today than the usual flattened mounds of misery that we usually get. Summertime cumulonimbus or towering cumulus are acceptable in my books because it's a sign of true summer-like heat. Whereas the flattened dross that we usually get here is a sign of a LACK of true summer-like heat
The lack of wind combined with the chirping grasshoppers in my garden feels very respectable in the sunny breaks... More of this or no clouds at all please.

Going to sleep covered in a sheet and no duvet as it was slightly mild and I was feeling a bit warm, I am surprised to wake up to condensation on the windows and dew on the grass in what is statistically the part of the year with the warmest nights on average!

Another watery day here in WaterWorld London. If there's one benefit to this frequent rain.. It washes a lot of the horrible burning smells out of the air that I get in my area quite often. Also the grass is now bright green, which isn't usually the case at this time of year here.

I can tell how damp and turbulent the airmass is by how low down and 'wooly' the clouds are this morning.

The UK climate sometimes teases you that it's not too bad like Spring 2020, Summer 2018 & 2022 but then you get periods like this which just remind you that it's mostly dross with a few memorable sprinkles of good weather every so often.
I love Faro! Especially the coastal barrier islands that you can see from the plane as you land! I believe that's also one of the sunnier locations of Iberia too on average, coastal SW Andalusia and SE Algarve

Average = poor to me. I simply do not like the climate here and never have, even as a child. 23c in summer, (for those who are acclimatised) is only warm if the sun is out and there is little to no wind, which is often not the case. otherwise it feels tepid or chilly to me. Knowing that so many other areas of the world (including at the same latitudes as Britain) experience consistent, genuine summer heat and sun, and we are just about scraping the low 20s and (what feels like) perpetual grey skies never ceases to disappoint me! I would love to move, but I simply do not have the means to do so.

Absolutely sick to death of having to close my windows because of an unpleasant chilly breeze in the morning. The convective infill means that it takes what feels like an eternity to warm up, and we can barely go one day without that rotten chilly breeze.

Some rather pretty looking early convective clouds this morning. Typical for being in a col, which can make for some interesting skies. Not the ugly, flat grey stratiform clouds of when the pressure is either too high or too low. Shame about the autumnal temperatures though. Fingers crossed that August delivers at least one heat spike.
