Anyoen else seeing the storms in the channel? I am in Devon atm and I may go to the coast! Possible good lightshow for a county that has missed almost everything this year!

It seems that here in the southwest, heavy rain events are dotted around but with limited/no lightning. The cloud this morning has suppressed any heating to support stronger development in the way of convection. I suspect we will just have on/off heavy rain through the rest of the day/night here in Plymouth. Extremely disappointed as I've only seen 3 flashes this year.

I'm noticing a considerable lack on lightning on these storms today. Perhaps because of their pulse nature, and the presence of cloud throughout the day causing cooling? I'm hoping an uptick in activity occurs later this evening.

Estofex only does Mon-Fri forecasting unless there's an event of enhanced interest.
