  1. What a strange day. Got to 0.7° last night and took its sweet time warming up. Fast forward to lunch time and it gets to 11.9°, lovely in the sun, warm relative to what we're used to. It even reached 9 on the UV index. Then by 3pm it's dropped to 6°, and constant rain for the next 4 hours. 12.8mm in total, mostly isolated to my general area. Tipped it down for a time. Probably the humber estuary causing trouble with its convergence, as the wind changed direction to the east. It even caused a funnel cloud in May last year! This crazy weather isn't any good for my plants either, can't wait to get the veggies transplanted but this incoming plume seems short lived.
  2. 20:30 (20.04.24) A cold yet sunny morning, becoming more pleasant in the afternoon with cumuliform clouds from 10am onwards, gradually covering the sky. Dry all day Current temp: 8.7c Maximum temp: 13.3c Overnight min: 1.8c Humidity: 72% Rainfall: 0mm Barometer: 1030mb steady 6 Oktas (cu humilis, cu fractus, sc floccus) Wind F1 ENE
  3. 20:30 (18.04.24) Morning beginning with a ground frost, thick nebulous cloud for most of the day with persistent light-moderate rain from 15:30. If the sun came out I didn't see it. Chilly throughout the day Current temp: 9.2c Max temp: 11.1c Overnight minimum: 0.9c Rainfall: 8mm Humidity: 92% Barometer: 1015mb falling 8 Oktas (stratocumulus stratiformis, altostratus)
  4. Seen a good few cumulonimbi today, nice whispy capillatus tops and a couple anvils. Also had some graupel/small hail, one at home one at college. Unfortunately there's some stratiform clouds building, was hoping to catch some aurora one or two people did last night in these parts. Max temp 11.1c
  5. 20:15 (17.04.24) Cool albeit sunnier than as of late, feeling pleasant in the sun between gusts of wind. Several cumulonimbi spotted throughout the day and a heavy shower with small hail. Temp: 6.9c Max temp: 11.1c Overnight minimum: 2.7c Humidity: 74% Rainfall: 2.4mm Barometer: 1018mb rising Wind: F2 WNW 4 Oktas (Sc, Cu humulis, Cu fractus)
  6. 19:15 (15.04.2024): Cold and blustery day with a bitter westerly wind. Unsettled and showery after frontal rain in the morning. Current Temp: 8.5c Max temp: 10.1c Overnight min: 5.2c Rainfall: 5.2mm Humidity: 69% Barometer: 1002 rising steadily 8 Oktas (st fractus, as)
  7. Consistently pleasant, dry throughout the day with plenty of outbreaks of sun. Clouded up now Current temp: 12.9c Max temp: 13.4c Overnight min: 5.5c Humidity: 50% Barometer: 1018mb falling Wind: F3 SW 8 Oktas (sc, cs nebulosus)
  8. It's nice to see bluebells out and about, the woods near me are plastered with them. My grape vine has begun its bud break also, hopefully the colder nights we're looking at won't put it at risk.
  9. It's very interesting how the warm sector of the cyclone to our northwest is affecting the temperatures. It's 14 degrees right now, warmer than it's been in the last 54 hours, and it's 11pm!
  10. Spells of light rain broken up by sunshine and strengthening winds from the west. Clouds clearing up for sunset. Daily high: 11.3c Overnight minimum: 6.9c Rainfall: 2.79mm Barometer: 1,012.19mb rising steeply Current temp: 9.6c Humidity:74% 4 oktas (cu fra, sc flo)

    Tornadic weather

Just a collection of anything tornadic I've been lucky enough to capture
  12. 15:30 Sunshine replaced by altostratus covering the sky from the south. Feeling warm. Current temp: 15.4c Humidity: 68% 24hr maximum: 16.5c Overnight minimum: 10.1c Rainfall: 0.41mm Barometer: 1003.5 mb falling 8 oktas (altostratus translucidus, cumulus humilis)
  13. Recorded 19.8c today, just shy of the 20' a few others got. It really didn't feel like it though, with a strong wind from the south, so I'm happy to reserve my first 20' for a more pleasant day
  14. A dull morning with a thick blanket or stratus translucidus. Sunny spells now with winds are picking up Current temp: 19.7C Overnight minimum: 11.8C Overnight rain: 2.5mm Barometer: 994mb decreasing 7 oktas (sc, ci spi, ci ve)
