I will wait until the indoor temperature is below 7c before considering heating, and if the wife complains I throw her a couple of blankets. Of course I don't wear clothes but have to remember to pop on a dressing gown when the doorbell goes for fear of scaring the postman. Outside I will wear my speedos and will wear only these providing the temperature doesn't drop below 0c. It plays havoc with me bunions though so I try to put some slippers on.
In summer I've been known to tolerate temps up to 45c but some people can make my blood boil and that of course is what tips me over the edge leading to my needing a cold shower. Especially her next door but one who is constantly running her aircon which right gets on my wick as it's not necessary.
When I were a lad we didn't have heating or aircon. We sat round a single candle or all shared a very cold bath. All 12 of us.

Cloudy here. 19.8c. Hoping for some sun. Should finish the painting, but so far I'm getting away with it.

It's warm and mild in 'The Shire'. I may throw caution to the wind and walk to the post box without a coat.

Nice afternoon here. Sun out. Clear blue skies. Garden looking lovely after a bit of TLC. 23.6c according to the wife's Oregon station, don't know how accurate that is.

Was grim this morning. Raining and cold. Warmed up to 18C and it's trying to brighten up.
-
Lousy here this morning. Dried out now and brightening up. Got 18C and 7mph winds.

Thanks for the graph and insight. It will be interesting to see how the next few summers unfold. Were the last few years a blip and will we see a few cooler summers in the future?

@polaris
can only be ground temps and intensity of snowfall
a couple, of weeks ago the snow was on the back of a hard frost. The ground temps were well below zero when the snow began to come down.
I wonder if anyone has a ground thermometer to check what the current ground temps are (where there is no snow or the ground is wet)This any good mate?

I can see the charts with lots of showers coming down from the Wash, but not sure if they will reach Stevenage. Would anybody be able to help?
-
Found the below radar quite useful to track the showers coming in.

Very very light snow blowing about in the wind. You have to really look to see it.
I'm north Stevenage, Herts.

Still snowing in Stevenage SG1 but not really adding to the 3.5cm we have here.

How's about those showers coming through the midlands now? They seem to have a bit of a swivel on. Temp here is 1.7 and dewpoint is 0.7.
