Not yet my house is modern so well insulated though my old Victorian 5 bedroom 3 story house would have been freezing by the end of July lol, Though I suspect the wife will fail and it will be on by the end of the weekend

Hmmm, imho definitely the better choice.

Sounds good.
we managed a day there on a cruise in 2019 and had a bit of a tour including down some caves.
Really liked what we saw of it and fancy going back someday.
Was considering Sharm but changed my mind I’ll still get some good diving and game fishing done ,had a fair few points with Virgin too

Looks like I'll be freezing next week.
I'll see if the maiden will fit in the Berlingo. The wife can dry the washing whilst she's doing her visits. The car will be warmer than the house.
Actually said to wife I wonder if it would be cheaper to live in motor home using the webasto diesel heater over central heating ,lol

Dodged the showers for a walk along Macclesfield canal, passed the Hovis Mill, where from 1898 millers here milled the wheat in a special way to make Hovis bread. In 1904 it moved to bigger premises at Trafford Park.
Parts of the walk not as scenic as they once were, houses and flats springing up everywhere. One section of canal side and fields sectioned off for a new housing estate, played in those fields as a child, heartbreaking to see it about to disappear. Lovely chestnut tree beginning to turn colour and shed its leaves, a nice couple of hours walk.
Is that the one with the cafe near the viaduct over the road in Bollington ?
