Hi. I'm new here. I've had a growing interest in weather and weather patterns over the past few years and I've been doing a bit of reading and self-educating to learn more. It's been interesting reading everyone's comments about our recent round of storms.
I live in sunny Slough - as in always sunny. Other than one or two insignificant 5 minute rain showers, we haven't had any rain since late May or early June. Yesterday I watched the storms bypass us in a thin corridor of clear skies while it rained to the south and north just a couple of miles away. Even now, the radar shows possible rain building up over Uxbridge, Maidenhead and Ascot, and there is definitely something going on in Reading - but there is a big clear bubble over Slough.
Anyway, I'm going to go back to 'lurk' mode for now until I learn more - but just wanted to say 'hi'!
