The skies are clearing from the disappointing decayed leftovers from the morning storms, and there are plenty of towers going up over the mainland. It's looking promising.
We’re are the decaying storms, I’ve got a storm over me right now causing flooding and loud thunder

Any video's from you lucky lot on the south coast would be greatly appreciated thanks. Clear blue skies and warm up here in the Toon. NO ACTION
Don’t really have much except loud thunder and heavy rain

The thunder is getting louder, can’t see any lightning tho, the clouds are rotating now
Just now, Flash bang flash bang etc said:Probably backbuilding / producing daughter cells giving the impression of rotation
Oh ok

The storm off the coast of Eastbourne and the bexhill storm seem to be rotating around each other, could this result in a possible tornado or land spout/waterspout?

That tiny cell that suddenly appeared south of bexhill in the channel quickly grew to hold a small but hefty downpour of large noisy convective drops, of course it electrified as it left the bounderies of Bexhill and is now merrily bumbling around north of us. Keeping a firm eye on the channel
Can see the bexhill storm and it’s heading directly for me

Ok, just hoping that it’s enough time for them to produce severe weather

What time should I expect storms in Eastbourne, if any?

Slightly encouraging how the cell close to Hastings spat out some lightning almost as soon as it developed - hopefully this indicates the atmosphere across the SE starting to become a little more conducive to some sparks.
23C here currently with a dp of 17C - it is beginning to feel a little more ripe I have to say.
In Eastbourne it’s 21 and saw some cloud to cloud lighting off in the channel and the air is still, no wind whatsoever

Here near Brighton, had rain for about 1 hour now, light drizzle to moderate rain feeling Warm and sky looking hopefully for thunderstorms
