  1. Weather looks vile for the foreseeable, but I don't much care since the best part of the year (weather-wise) is over for me. Don't care much for August, so it can be as variable as it likes as long as it isn't overcast/rainy 24/7.
  2. LRD2023 was vile after June (at least in the SE).
  3. stainesbloke Sicily has the ideal climate (for me at least). I remember being there in December and wearing short sleeves while back home it was freezing cold. Such a shock to the system when I had to return home.... SummerloverNorth London still shower-less
  4. Phil ConnorsPool in Sicily?????? Anyway, she isn't the pool type (nor am I). She went to see the sights, did a lot of walking around etc. It's a different kind of heat....
  5. stainesblokeA friend of mine came back from Sicily last week. She said it felt hotter here in London than there.... Nice weather here btw. Sunny and breezy, but probably cloudier later...
  6. Bad news for the rest of summer since it'll rain tomorrow, aka Saint Swithin's Day...
  7. Wasn't it supposed to be sunny today???? richie3846London is more of the same actually
  8. Roban I was speaking about my experience of the summers of 2023/2024 which was... not good. Drab & chilly with occasional sunny/hot spells isn't my idea of summer weather MethuselahMusic to my ears...
  9. IcySpicyNow you know how we felt in 2023 and 2024. I hope it gets better soon
  10. Summer8906 For the Med region a settled summer is par for the course. For us, it isn't. Nothing has changed in that respect. The only factor that has changed is the extent of the temps' increase in both places.
  11. Saturday and Sunday have a July 2023 vibe
  12. Anyways, I mightily enjoyed this hot spell and may it return soon. If humans adapted so as to spend half their time glued to the screen of a tiny phone, we can certainly take a few days of hot weather in our stride
  13. StingJetI really feel for you. Nothing worse than a chilly summer...
  14. A tale of two platforms... Meto BBC
  15. Wold Topper Don't knock it mate, lack of common sense is one of the central features of the human race. Look at how we are working relentlessly to make ourselves redundant on the planet. Drink, people, drink: it's hot out there .
