    Weather looks vile for the foreseeable, but I don't much care since the best part of the year (weather-wise) is over for me. Don't care much for August, so it can be as variable as it likes as long as it isn't overcast/rainy 24/7.

    stainesbloke Sicily has the ideal climate (for me at least). I remember being there in December and wearing short sleeves while back home it was freezing cold. Such a shock to the system when I had to return home.... SummerloverNorth London still shower-less

    Summer8906 For the Med region a settled summer is par for the course. For us, it isn't. Nothing has changed in that respect. The only factor that has changed is the extent of the temps' increase in both places.

    Anyways, I mightily enjoyed this hot spell and may it return soon. If humans adapted so as to spend half their time glued to the screen of a tiny phone, we can certainly take a few days of hot weather in our stride
