14.6c currently indoors. I don’t really feel the cold though.

During the summer we’re often cooler and duller than everywhere else. Honestly that North Sea does us no favours. We can still get heat in the right setup, such as summers 2022 and 2006, but it’s rare. In fact 2022 saw the first 30c since August 2003.

I was right under that storm! Was incredible, never seen rain like it! Constant thunder and a good bit of lightning. -

The Heat Haters Club 2023

Honestly if you hate heat come up to the North east! Only 23c here at the minute and the morning was completely cloudy! -
23c hazy sun here, the cloud burned away at around 11-12.

North Sea cloud has arrived here, probably won’t get sunny until like 1pm, and the temperature will only be 23c here. Always cooler and duller in the north east during the warmer part of the year except in summer 2022 or July 2006.

Just hit 27c here, making it the warmest day of the year. 2021s warmest day locally was also in September.

How Did You Find Summer 2023?
NorthSeaCloud replied to BlueHedgehog074's topic in Spring Weather Discussion
June was okay, but the first 9 days were often dominated by North Sea cloud and were very cool, from the 10th to the 16th of June, it was mostly sunny here with temps of 20-25c, which was very nice. There was more cloud then weekend, before a mixed week of weather arrived, some days were warm and sunny such as the 19th and 22nd of June and some days were dull/wet such as the 20th and 23rr of June, we then had a muggy weekend and the final days of the month were also mixed. I’d give June a 7/10 July was poor overall, the first half was a mixed bag, there was some good days but also some poor days, there was also a thunderstorm on the 15th. The second half of July was truly awful, with rain almost every day, hardly any sun and cool temperatures. I’d give July a 3/10 August started off like how July ended with no sun whatsoever until the 6th. After the 6th the weather did improve with some decent sunny days, but also some poorer days. August was overall a pretty standard month, but lacked any real heat. Similar to August 2021 in this area, which was also mundane. I’d give august a 5.5/10. Overall I’d rate summer 2023 a 5/10, which isn’t great, but better than 2012 or 2020. -
Lovely day for a change, 24c and sunny.

There's so much rain right now. The garden is starting to flood.

For my location: June: 7/10 July: 3/10 August: 4/10 Still been a better summer than 2020 but the overall spring/ summer period is worse due to how good spring 2020 was.

We could possibly be having TWO SUNNY DAYS IN A ROW!! Fairly warm and sunny start today, though there is a slight haze in the sky. Yesterday was lovely as well, though it was fairly windy.
-
Some trees starting to go yellow here. Not expecting great autumn displays this year due to how dull its been.
-
Today was supposed to be sunny. Yet again its another disappointing cloudy, windy day. This August locally must be one of the dullest for some time.
-
The filth Never even burned off here today, and took until 4pm yesterday to burn off. It’s 15c and if it weren’t for the trees and the fact it’s light at 8pm you’d think it was November.
-
17c dull and windy. Looking better Saturday onwards thankfully.
-
WOW! Its a whopping 19c and the SUN IS SHINING!!
-
Another grim day here, 100% cloud cover with the sky full of North Sea cloud.
-
Managed to get 2 hours of sun before the inevitable Grey sheet of misery returned. Didn’t even stop raining from about 6am yesterday to 6am today.

I could see my breath this morning.
