I’m so glad this hot spell is almost over. Unfortunately my bit of the country won’t get any thunderstorms which I enjoy alot

I live in the south east and hate it. I’ve always not been keen. My mum thinks it’s because I was born in the 2006 heatwave and that made me hate heat somehow. Wondering if any other heat haters were born in heatwaves and that factors into not enjoying heat?

If you don’t have aircon I recommend lurking in a supermarket or going to the cinema. I did that last summer when we hit 40c.

Too hot. I don’t get how anyone can enjoy this. Mid twenties I can understand but thirties with high humidity feels like torture. Even my dad who loves warm weather is finding it uncomfortable. I can’t wait until we get some proper autumn weather then I’ll be happy

I know it does that’s why I try to be sympathetic towards people who struggle with that and not laugh at their expense unlike some people in this forum.

That is horrible. You may disagree with our weather preferences but heat effects peoples physical and mental health negatively.

It’s good we had a cooler month though. I was terrified of another heatwave. I don’t understand this obsession with having hot weather all the time. June was hot so the heat lovers could enjoy it and July was cool so people who don’t like heat can enjoy it. I think that’s fair.

July was 0.3c below average. That is normal. It is normal to have a hot June and a cooler july.
