Very heavy rain at the moment with thunder and lightning. Just had huge bang of thunder which felt like an earthquake and it set of some car alarms.

I hope so mate.. but it seems some peoples snow is starting to turn into a sleety mix, might have missed the fun today.
Its still all snow in most areas.
if you take a look at the radar, yellows and pinks indicate where the snow is falling

just got in, heavy heavy snow. Roads are jammed, had to abandon car
Yeah it looks pretty bad in b'ham according to the radar. Looks like continuing for another 1-2 hours

Very heavy snow here now starting to settle
-
had about 2cm settled since it started today on top of what was left looks really impressive and it continues to fall extremely heavy very entertaining i think its falling at a rate of about 4cm an hour
What your elevation?
I'm only about 90m and the ground is soaked from the rain earlier so snow is finding it hard to settle.

Still snowing here heavily, but nor settling
Anyone in leicstershire got settling snow?
-
Heavy snow here but ground is too wet for the snow to settle

Just thought i'd post these for you all to see
I took these pics at around 11:30am and I think we have another 1-2cm snow on top of whats shown in these pics from the snow that fell from 1pm -10pm.
Sorry for the quality, they are from my webcam but I thought id post them anyway, ive never posted snow pics of my own before
Nice pics mate. Big contrast in snowfall amouts in leicstershire. We only saw about an inch while people in coalvile saw about 3"-4". SW parts of Leicstershire did pretty well, also there was a lot of snow on beacon hill which i saw on East midlands Today.

Still moderate snow here... check out the cam, the road's white again! http://www.photoweather.com/aws/cam/
Looks good. Hopefully we'll get some soon

snowing heavily down here but we have only probably got an inch of snow on the ground.
Even with an inch of snow we had a great time at college. Mass snowball fights even the teachers got snowballed

F**k all here
Not even a millimetre

Everything seems to be going to Plan, I dont see why some members on this forum, especially the N-W Forecasters are predicting this to shift East. It's taking it's time, and it's going to shift NE/ENE....
Exactly. I dont see a reason why people are stressing for

Wow! Nice pics mate especially the first one. Brilliant scenery: unplowed roads, sunshine shimmering of the snow and deep snow cover. Brilliant! we would do well to get 1.5" nevermind 15".
