    1 Heavy and 2 moderate snow showers in Derby today with flurries between, there was some hail and rain for a time at noon nothing settled though.

    This morning in Derby there was light snow did not settle as it was too light and it got blown away because of the wind and dryness. Since last Monday Derby has had snow every day.

    In Derby today there was 5cm between 0600 and 1000. After that a thaw set in with only the best shaded areas having some snow left. There was still heavy snow showers all day at hourly intervals though nothing settled. The last shower however gave a slight dusting at 1700.

    Derby has had 4 heavy snow showers today with blizzards in two of them. Did not settle. The 17:00 shower gave a total covering including roads. Clouds increasing again.

    Will that precipitation over the North West of England head down the Cheshire Gap on the north westerly wind to Derby. Temp 4 degress here windchill of -1 and very gusty. Sunny but clouds increasing from the north west. Could it snow here as teps will drop under the precipitation and the groud is getting drier from the wind and sun.

    From 0800 to 0900 there was light/moderate snow in Derby, didnt settle though and very unexpected as Derby is about as much inland from the East Coast as you can get. 1300 very slight snow shower not worth mentioning really.
