  2. dan (staplehurst) is no longer producing convective forecasts
  3. sat in the study at the mo, and its black towards caerphilly mountain, Another note, I'm absolutely gutted to say the least that dan @staplehurst is going to stop producing convective forecasts, he was the absolute best and spot on, It might be worth him training someone up to take over potentially, Thank you dan for your forecasts really appreciated

  12. bbc have made it so land crabs can understand, luckily I use netweather, met office (due to inshore forecast etc)
  13. well yesterday went ok for us in sea cadets at the district regatta, got 1 rowing team (combined cardiff/newport unit) going through to area now so i'm happy, powerboat handling came second so need to up the training, and the storms held off as well. easterly wind wasnt much of a problem as I was on a viking (motor launch) so held it into wind using the engine as if you keep the vessel head to wind you retain control, then got the rowing teams to row to me so I could take up the tow and tow them to the start line
  14. i'm scared of thunderstorms as well, hence why i'm on this site
  15. anyone cardiff way hear thunder about 2-3am this morning pls? (only 1 clap), I checked blitzortung but nothing
  16. its a decaying storm, the cells nearby will collapse soon
