  1. I'm sorry, but I have to defend the METO here. What you said was entirely unfounded and baseless.

    I complemented them!

On their summer storm forecasts, they just cant handle snow and thats probrably down to the models anyway :(

oh deary me, the capital letters are out to play, it hasnt even started and people are cursing and flaming already :(

Oh well only 2 days till half term, unless school is closed, then my bid not to do my history coursework will pay offf haha :D

I relly shoulf get to sleep soon

Ok i am dissapointed with reports so far but im not sharing my misery with everyone through capital letters, pleaseif you are peed off, shout at the wall or your dog or something but not on here... Ta!

  2. Its not going pear shaped, its only just begun...

Dont listen to beeb peoples, listen to Metcheck and the smart people on this place, beeb dont have a clue and from expeirience metoffice are only good at predicying summer thunderstorms, which i must hand it to em, were very accurate last year, despite the fact the beeb supposedly works with metoffice, why do their forecasts contradict most of the time?

If ya want snow, move to Iceland!

    Joe :yahoo:

  3. Kelly yes it is very important, have you got a picture, at about 3pm you would have been in the perfect position just South of the Supercell with the setting sun coming in from the west. Please post the piccie if you have it.

    Paul Sherman

Yeh an almost identicle situation to the one when i tookthe picture, i dont think it became a HP supercell that time though just a very powerful thunderstorm.

    Joe :shok:

  4. 16.2

August is a funny month, its a bit like May, it can either be the start of autmn (like 2004) or a real scorchio summer month (2003!), September is the same.

I think with stubbourn blocking its going to be warm, even if it isnt boiling hot.

    Joe :(

  5. Yeh there was a multicell event crossing the country almost every week, it would allways start with storms moving up from biscay over the west then moving Ne across here, it would always wake me up about 5 which a couple of rumbles then just dynamic rainfall the rest of the day clearing to fresher sunnier weather.

This pattern kept reapeating itself, we had very little home grown stuff unlike this year.

    Joe
