Something just got struck locally - Jeez!
-
Directly over us now. V close strike then.
-
Torrential rain, thunder and lightning directly overhead. Not showing on lightning detector maps? Pretty active. Travelling roughly E - W.
-
Just suddenly got torrential rain but nothing else.
-
Interesting clouds here, all moving rapidly, but higher clouds moving SE to NW and lower clouds moving very fast from W to E. Sea breeze?
-
Yes definitely yours I can see! Hearing distant booms.....
-
Think yours is the one I can see way off to my East Darren.
Can hear faint thunder now but some great lightning.

I hear thunder.....very dark again like last night to the ESE
.

We must be right on the edge of the cell over West Derby - very very dark sky to the S of me and almost constant rumbles of thunder. Not quite over us yet though!
-
Storms skirting around us here in Ainsdale, Southport as well. Skies very dark out to sea, nearest strike shows as 8 miles to the W of us. Not heard any thunder yet but sure we would see lightning if it were dark.
Temp has noticeably dropped here too.
-
Can hear lots of sirens here now at intervals flying down the main bypass near here. Very violent gusts here on the coast.

Wild here again now in Ainsdale, right on the NW coast after a lull - very gusty, wind roaring, lots of alarms going off. Something just hit my bedroom window, not a roof tile! Sounded like plastic - piece of guttering maybe? 3 momentary losses of power through the night - fed up of re- setting clock.
-
Just what I was thinking......!
