    In one of my pictures on the right hand side of the dark cloud I thought I could see a funnel starting so I did start to film it but I dont think it was, plus the video was a bit boring. Ill upload a bit of it later.

    Lots of columbinus clouds every were! Going, by the isle of whight lightning map, I should be having a storm now but nothing atm.My video camera is ready and charged!!

    I had an inkling I thought I herd a long distance rumble of thunder this afternoon around, 3ish, but Im not quite sure(could of been a plane). Otherwise, I had plenty of heavy rain, nothing eles. However, I did have a nice clear spot, just enough time to take my daughter out to the park before the rain came in again. Alas, still no thunderstorms.

    Got some lovely looking columbus clouds bubbling up all over the place here, and the temp is quite warm not sure what it is. Dark clouds building up wondering if Im likely to see anything today, as Im off atm.

    Thanks some really usefull information here, I just remember as a kid what the storms in the uk used to be like, so heres hoping that our storms return soon. And I cant wait to go to kent too!

    I miss the days, when we used to get long hot summers and strong thundery break downs - those are my childhood memorys now. Most of the storms we have been getting lately are not what I call, proper classic thunderstorms. Just showers imho.

    Yup, all the storms down here died away had one heck of bang early this afternoon bloomin typical, happend when i was at work:( hense why I could not film the bugger!

    Just had 4 Rumbles of thunder in Oxford quite loud allways happens when im at work!! GRRR!
