Estofex has issued a level 1 warning for today which includes a large part of region. Mentions widespread storms likely forming and moving N and E across the UK during the afternoon and evening, a very bullish forecast. Could be quite an afternoon.
Just been awoken by a few strikes on the Fylde coast, torrential rain.

Yes it's been an enjoyable spell for someone who doesn't like heat like myself. No need to put the heating on, no sweating either when out and about etc. Problem is once it gets to the mid 20s upwards it really warms up indoors here, at least in this house which retains heat well in summer.
Was going to get an air conditioning unit but I hear most are quite noisy, 60 decibels+ depending on the unit, So don't want to listen to that when trying to sleep. I'd just end up turning it off. The trusty old fan will have to suffice, even if all it does is blow the warm air around.
Hi bud, we had Daikin air con installed in our and the lads bedroom last June, was also worried about the noise produced as a shift worker, but found it to be quieter than a regular fan, and on sleep mode, don't hear it at all. Me and the missus are both light sleepers, and it has been a godsend, keeping the room between 16/18 °C when all my work collegues are cooking

Small flakes of snow now falling here in Norbreck, near Blackpool, from the single cloud above.. So it is reaching the coast at the moment. Bodes well..

Ha knowing the luck we have had today I bet the wind will change just before it gets here.
I'm under that "shower" lol. Dry as a bone here, nothing falling i'm afraid!!

Just seen 4 Cg directly south of me within space of a minute. Starting to hear rumbles now so its getting closer

Just been outside to take a look South. Very dark stormy clouds heading right for me, gone very windy, temp showing 19.5C, feels a lot cooler in wind. No flashes seen or thunder heard yet but don't think it's far away..

Absolutely nothing here all day, it can't even be arsed to rain here either. Nil, nada, zilch. Even Teide on Tenerife has had snow this year ;-)
